Sunday Snapshot

“The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear,

and its waters gave life.

The river came from the throne where God

and the Lamb were seated.

Then it flowed down the middle of the city’s main street.

On each side of the river are trees

that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year.

The fruit gives life,

and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.”

~ Revelations 22: 1,2

(Contemporary English Version)

Today…whatever your need…take and eat of the Tree of Life that is the Lord

  3. A lovely image, filled with words that can lift us up at the tough moments and help to encourage us to move forward. The beauty of God’s creations–always humbling!! HE did some special work on you PAM–as you share the gifts HE filled you with. BLessings for this… love, martha

    • Thank you, Martha. Blessings to you today… and the peace of a river feeling. 🙂

      • The peace of a river~~~~there is a song by Nora Jones with a line in it “My Toes just touched the water” which probably holds a meaning that is more than the feel of our toes touching clear, flowing water from a spring river…

If I were to put my feet in a cool river—I would probably only feel the right foot—so much nerve damage~~~my left foot feels like its been to the dentist–and stays there!!! But it helps to “think” of how it once felt….. That takes me through this moment of Pain–and gives me courage to face the next wave.

Thank you for allowing me to share… Martha

The living water and the tree of life. The picture is so serene and I see people on the benches relaxing and taking in the purity of God’s nature and his presence. If I were there the healing of any spiritual and physical ills would soon diminish if not heal immediately. That’s a concrete manifestation of God’s peace.

I love that version of the verse, Pam.

Touch us, Dear Lord, where there’s ailing and despair. Amen!

    • Yes, isn’t that a beautiful version of the verse? I took this photo last week at the lake where I wrote about “One Bella Day.” I loved the look of that winding path…and tree shadows on the lawn…and spring just beginning to fill in the trees. There is always some traffic noise etc, but there is still a peace there. Something about water and trees… Thank you, Lolita…
