FALL IS LIKE THE CRASH OF TIMPANI IN GOD’S ONGOING SYMPHONY… A SEASON OF HIS EXTRAVAGANT MESSAGES OF LOVE, PAINTED AND SCROLLED…IN…EACH…CRIMSON AND GOLD-TIPPED LEAF…
RESOUNDINGLY REMINDING, WOOING US TO HEAR —
CAN ANYTHING HE PREPARES FOR US BE ORDINARY?
“…the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because the Lord your God loves you.”

Love it! God can transform anything!
thanks, Tara, So true.
Hard to believe, but with my type by one finger right now (broken wrist), this actually took more than 5 min to write… 🙂
So true! Paying attention to the beauty of the seasons (and nature) especially crashes that cymbal for me. Thanks for writing today.
thanks!
Pam, you are writing! Praise God….though I know still how difficult it must be to type. But I love how the CAPS can sometimes indicate volume, and that you are raising the volume here on God’s creation, combinding the thunder of tympani with the beauty of color. Autumn really does resound exuberantly, doesn’t it? I must say, though, in St. Louis, I wish some cooler climes would come crashing upon us. It is still so unseasonably hot here. Love that you are posting. Praying for your full recovery!
Love
Lynn
well, i’m really using caps cuz it is so hard to shift with one finger to cap certain letters only. but i like your thought. hoped it didn’t look like screaming. wish i could really write but too hard, thanks 4 your prayers!
Yes, exactly. I knew why you were using caps, which is why I knew you were having such difficulty posting. That you are posting *at all* is truly amazing and shows your dedication. No, I know you are not screaming at us. 🙂 But I love that it could be seen as a “joyful shout” to the Lord for the glory of his autumn creation. I surely will continue to pray that you can go back to small letters soon, indicating your healing! He’s seeing you through.

no need to respond.
Autumn is such a lovely time of year. Beautiful words. Blessings, Kasey
blessings to you, too, Kasey!
Oh, that last question, Pam? That’s the one. He is that Great, that Creative – how could He plan anything “ordinary”?! Thank you so, so much for sharing. This made me smile. 🙂
thanks, Mary — glad we could share a smile… 🙂
Hi Pam, thank you for your post. I am back blogging again, so please feel free to link-up if you would like to. I Love Autumn, it is slowly beginning to show here in England. You can certainly feel the chill in the air 🙂 Everything He does for us, everything that shows His glory, rings out perfect love across the world.
BEAUTIFULLY SAID… THANKS ANITA! I WILL LINK…
Love this! Nothing He does is ordinary.
thanks Hannah!
Pam, Praise God for you. I miss you. One of my staff has resigned and the bulk of her job fell on me. I am smashed. What with all the IRS requirements landing on me.
Anyway, I pray that God will strengthen me more because our company is making us multi-task.
Hope you are well. I miss reading from you. I mostly peep on the emails whenever I can. Hayyyyyyyyy! TC, Lolita
praying for you. i have broken left wrist so not posting more than few words…good to hear from you!
Hi Pam! I am coming over from Still Saturday.
I love the last line of your prose: Can anything he prepares for us be ordinary? That made me chuckle out loud…God? Ordinary? No way!
Fall is my favorite season, and it’s weather is a see-saw of cold and heat, the colors are so widely varied, the smells so homey. Yep, that sounds like our God.
So lovely to meet you today!
Ceil
lovely to meet you too! my fav too – i feel same! thanks!
Beautiful photo & thoughts on ordinary! And I love your 31 days topic too! Visiting from Saturday Linky Love this morning 🙂 Have a great weekend!
thank you, Joan! that’s a closeup of my dogwood tree. I had so many words in mind for this theme, but can’t do them with my broken wrist…so thought at least I might post a few tiny ones typing one finger…:) Happy this lifts you!
So pretty, Pam. Fall is a slow process down here in the glades – much like life in our subtropical climate. It rarely arrives in a “crash”, but those of us who have lived here long can sense the subtle changes and welcome them as a gift. Thanks for linking to Still Saturday this weekend. May your weekend be blessed.
i grew up in sw climes, so know exactly what you mean…just as poignant in subtle ways — still, fall has always seemed like a color burst – and its fun for me to see it in person these days (not just in movies), blessings!
Love the photo and the words to share. Truism fit right in there.
Thanks!
thanks Joanne!
What a beautiful PRAISE to Fall Weather–how it changes our lives, feels as though our spirits “perk up” as mornings become Crisp with lower temperatures…
Really enjoyed this Pam. The Lord is so pleased as you describe HIS work… Blessings, martha
thank you, Martha! Happy this lifts you too!
