Day 11: In the Glow of White Window Dress

The breeze through my open porch window is like His feather-winged gentleness upon me as I watch it bouffant my sheers.  It’s  like breath through a silky, billowy scarf, quieting my soul to rhythms of notes chasing in and out of chimes there… stirring my spirit through sunlight shimmers across scarlet-leafed dogwood…lifting my heart to prayer in the ethereal glow of white window dress.  I can almost see the wings of the Dove.

I’m whispering words of His Word over my neighbor in hospital downtown, asking Him to make my prayers as joining hands with his wife so that we lay hands on him as one… speaking life —

when a passage I’ve heard ministered this week falls much as a gold and orange-tipped reminder on my shoulder…

Day 13: Help me CELEBRATE!

Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence.  God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth...

The Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.

Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.” the Lord confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.

~ Genesis 6:11,12 and 11:1, 5-9  [New American Standard]

And open-mouthed, I wonder…

.

If a corrupt people might have transformed their world to further evil

by their very united words…

What might we, His enraptured Bride, do

if we purposed as one

to speak only His Holy Spirit-breathed  Word

out on our world,

immediate and abroad?

Day 13: Help me CELEBRATE!

Prayer:

O Father, help us to choose our words, even in our everyday moment-to-moment lives,  to envision the impossible along with You!

  1. Your words fall so poetically and beautifully, bringing us in to the moment in a very reflective way.

Thank you for your gentle encouragement to unite in one voice in prayer for a world that needs Jesus – the most powerful tool we have to minister to a lost world, calling upon our Heavenly Father to do a redeeming work.

Always leave your posts feeling edified.

    Blessings to you Pam.

    • Thank you, Karen… Yes, and I am finding that the more we begin to speak His light into our words over our own lives and those of our small world, the more we will reflect Him and minister His heart to the whole… That His intention in part is for us to be speaking His redemption forth… Blessings to you too!
