Has God set a law of sowing and reaping
and harvest time
— not just in the natural world around us —
but also into our very spoken words?
When we buy a packet of zinnia seeds, for example, we expect to see beautiful golden blossoms eventually bloom in replica to the colorful picture portrayed there. In the same way, the thoughts we put into words from the moment we wake each morning and continue to reiterate throughout the day are bringing us a harvest of one kind or another.
The question is —
Are the well-meant words we sow with our mouths
producing weeds and eaten by worms?
Or are we planting our speech in anticipation
of God’s overtaking blessing to our lives?

— Day 15 —
Today, what if we start a running conversation with the Lord…express how much we long to know Him more and more…who He is, His Heart, His Smile — much the way we feel when we meet a friend of the heart…?
You and I:
O Lord, I hunger and thirst for more of You… to know more and more of Your manifested presence, power, and goodness poured out in my life and those I lift to You!
You are blessed [joyful, nourished by My goodness when you hunger and thirst for righteousness. You will be completely satisfied! [Matthew 5:6. amplified]
You and I:
I long to know You, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with You,
understanding the remarkable wonders of Your Person more completely
and experience] the power of Your resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers]
continually conformed inwardly into Your likeness… [Phil. 3:10 amplified]
The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing.
You can count on it.
From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son.
I mean it. Whatever you request in this way, I’ll do
[John 14:12, The Message]
You and I:
Lord, I ask for more of Your anointing on my words, on the work of my hands, on my life that You will use me to bless others in Your Name…
The Spirit of God, the Master, is on you
because I anoint you!
My Father sends you as He sent Me, to
- preach good news to the poor,
- heal the heartbroken,
- announce freedom to all captives,
- announce the year of His Grace is NOW—
a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies
- comfort all who mourn,
- care for the needs of all who mourn,
give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes,
- bring messages of joy instead of news of doom,
a praising heart instead of a languid spirit.
- Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness,” planted by God to display His glory!
… IN MY NAME.
